The Darwin Christmas lecture is organized yearly by the Darwin Center for Biogeosciences. The goal is to bring scientific subjects, related to the Darwin Center, to a wide audience. Lecturers have been paleontologist Jelle Reumer, writer and philosopher Bas Haring, writer and biologist Tijs Goldschmidt, professor Environmental Sciences Klaas van Egmond and Professor Marine Geology Carlo Heip. The Darwin Christmas lecture is being organised in cooperation with  the National Natural History Museum Naturalis. The entrance is free and the lecture is in Dutch.

De Darwin Christmas lecture wordt jaarlijks georganiseerd door het Darwin Centrum voor Biogeologie. Het doel van deze lezing is om wetenschappelijke onderwerpen, gerelateerd aan het Darwin Centrum, toegankelijk te maken voor een breed publiek. De afgelopen jaren werd de lezing o.a. gegeven door paleontoloog Jelle Reumer, schrijver en bioloog Tijs Goldschmidt, schrijver en filosoof Bas Haring, professor Milieukunde Klaas van Egmond en professor in de marine geologie Carlo Heip. De Darwin Christmas lecture wordt georganiseerd in samenwerking met Museum Naturalis. De toegang is gratis en de lezing is in het Nederlands.
