Workshop: introduction to the Darwin Center
This workshop introduces Darwin Center for Biogeosciences PhD students and postdocs to the research and the research facilities shared by Darwin partners. This way, they can become acquainted with and enhance the cooperation within the Center. The workshop is mandatory for all new Darwin PhD students and postdocs. It consists of seven afternoon visits to all Darwin research centers (NIOO, NIOZ, RUN, UvA, UU, VU, WUR) over the course of a year.
Each visit is structured as follows:
13.00 hrs: Welcome & lunch
14.00 hrs: General research presentation by the research leader of the Darwin Center visited
14.30 hrs: Project presentations by Darwin PhDs and postdocs at the Center visited and guided tour of the research facilities
16.30 hrs: Drinks

The workshops for 2010 are not planned yet.
You may register by sending an e-mail to darwinfo@geo.uu.nl. Please register as soon as possible and in any event no later than three weeks before a specific workshop date. If you are unable to attend a particular visit because of fieldwork commitments or other obligations, you may postpone that visit until the next academic year.
